About us
Established in 1856, Muldoon is currently a 4th generation, family owned and operated business. By the mid-19th century, Boston was a valuable center for the blossoming manufacturing industry. It was a key hub, with a network of roads, railways, and maritime shipping routes connecting Boston to the rapidly expanding country. In 1856, James Nathan Muldoon saw an opportunity in the bustling seaport. He founded J.N. Muldoon and began his career hauling a variety of freight, with horse and buggy to and from the clipper ships that frequented Boston Harbor. Our uniforms bearing the horse and buggy logo pay homage to our humble beginnings.
In 1917, the Good family purchased the company and it has remained within their family ever since. Over the past 100 years, we have provided a variety of services within the transportation industry, often servicing customers with high-end or time-sensitive items. As the industry continued to boom in Boston, Muldoon frequently serviced various office buildings and businesses as they grew and shuffled around the city. Our experience in the contract furniture delivery and installation arena led to a demand for our services at the Boston Design Center as the in-house mover. This constant contact with local designers, bolstered by an attentive and willing Muldoon team, established Muldoon as a trusted business in the white glove industry.
Today, we continue to cultivate that reputation as we strive to provide a tailored service to suit each customer’s needs, whatever they may be. Our experienced crew has a wealth of knowledge and experience to guarantee that a project exceeds expectations. Muldoon is dedicated to providing unparalleled customer service experience with the quality-driven results that have earned us a reputation as a trusted industry leader for years.
